QIGONG CLASSES

Qigong classes provide students with opportunities to explore this simple yet profound discipline. Classes are integrated with both new and experienced students much like a “one room classroom” with everyone learning at their own pace and understanding. This is also a more traditional style of instructing.

Classes provide students a time and place to disengage for a while from life’s hectic pace and to escape into a peaceful environment within which to learn and to practice together. At the same time techniques are learned and skills developed which can, for example, be integrated into one’s daily life to help ease the stresses of the day whether at home or at work.

Classes include discussion time as everyone checks in with their qigong experiences of the week as well as having a chance to ask questions. Principles and theories of qigong are discussed and experienced through such methods as meditation, visualization, breathing, and slow body movements. Students interact with qi’s releases, absorption, circulation, and storage through intent, breath and movement. Muscles and joints are relaxed and loosened during easy, warm-up movements to assist the student in developing sensitivity to the ebb and flow of qi. Many movements may be done sitting, standing, lying down or through visualization.

Classes are offered:
