REIKI  Xchange

Gatherings to practice Reiki are held periodically throughout the year. These sessions within the Reiki community are usually called “Reiki Shares.” At QiGong Studio we call them “Reiki Xchange,” the idea being that when at least two Reiki practitioners are involved in a session, one is serving as the practitioner, the other as the recipient. Then they switch or “exchange” roles. Additionally, on an historical note, the Studio is in the Exchange Building, on a corner of Exchange Street, where various goods and services have been offered to the community throughout the years. Taking all this into consideration, the term Reiki Xchange was created.

The Reiki Xchange welcomes anyone attuned to Reiki, no matter the level…

It does not matter how infrequently you practice, or the depth of your experience in providing Reiki sessions…whether for yourself, family, pets, friends, or professionally. This provides time for all those with similar interests in Reiki to meet new practitioners, see old friends, and practice.

  • The first part of each gathering is designed for participants to ask questions and share ideas and experiences within an open discussion format.
  • Techniques may be reviewed or new ones presented.
  • The remaining time is devoted to practice, wherein each participant has an opportunity to be both giver and receiver. It is often nice to just relax on the table and melt into the experience.
  • Hand position charts are readily visible for those wishing to refer to them during the practice session.
  • A short closing ends the intent of the Xchange.
  • Refreshments are provided after the session, so we can visit together for a while before having to re-enter the world, which awaits us.
  • A minimal fee is charged.

An RSVP is recommended so we can notify you in case of cancellation.

If you have any questions about the Reiki Xchange, or any thoughts or comments, do not hesitate to call (207-945-4545) or email  healingarts@qigongstudio.com.
